Kisa

Born in November 2023, Kisa has been a spitfire from the moment she came home. She is small in size at just 6 pounds, but she is all terrier in spirit. Always on the move, Kisa brings a spark of high energy and determination to everything she does. She was the first Japanese Terrier in history to earn a Best in Open Show, an incredible accomplishment achieved during her very first cluster of shows. Kisa is currently working toward her AKC Certificate of Merit (CM) and continues to impress with her potential.

Beyond the show ring, Kisa has captured hearts worldwide. She has gained popularity on TikTok through @year.of.the.terrier, where her spirited personality has made her a fan favorite. It is not uncommon for people to stop her and ask for a photo. True to her terrier nature, she loves hunting spiders, cicadas, and anything else that moves. While Kisa can be aloof with strangers or unfamiliar dogs, she is deeply devoted to her people. At home she is just as likely to be zooming around the kitchen as she is curled up in my lap, asking to be picked up. Kisa perfectly embodies the lively, loyal, and unforgettable charm of the Japanese Terrier.
